So the Witch Haus genre has grown into quite the "thing" lately, it's come a long way from the exaggerated upside down crosses and notions of hard drug use. And aside from the widespread inside jokes the genre has become integrated into my everyday listening and gained my ultimate respect. It seems the genre has no ceiling, from the speedy vocals of Balam to the ambient and dark tones of CRIM3S, I've never met such a goose-bump inducing genre. And that's what brings me to RIVKA, a Witchy/lo-fi sounding group from Pittsburg. Download their self titled album via bandcamp. It's only three bucks and totally worth it.
