I don't think I've ever found an 8-bit track on the internet that I could dub the title of "music". Most of it is pleasantly mapped gameboy noise that kind of gets on your nerves after a while. Yeah LSDJ is a fun program to fuck with and has the capabilities of making some good sounds, but until a foundation is set in place they're just sounds. (To me anyways) Gary Oak, not to be confused with Ash Ketchum's rival (poke'reference) has done just that. By taking some gritty 8-bit sounds, some synth sweeps, and a chopped up beat he has created a win. Listen to the first single from the EP "Daniel" out now, and then link over to the El Cheapo Bandcamp for a free mp3. Gary only asks one thing of you......"please enjoy this on drugs at disneyland with your friends."
