The other day I was requested by Matt Carr (of Analog Edition Records) to take a listen to some of his label's fine prospects. I was reluctant as always, due to the fact that most suggestions I have been given aren't quite my style. (that's putting it lightly) After listening to Breakfast In Fur's "Shine" I was struck with an aching nostalgia, tears came to my ears as I was reminded of listening to Freelance Whales for the first time, a perfect combination of accordion, faint harmonica, strings, and twinkles, this is absolutely my favorite brand of folk.
