Skybox

Bringing back full scale phsychedelic has been an apparent trend in indie for quite some time now and has become "the norm" for alot of bands. With stuff like Tame Impala, Grizzly Bear, Black Moth Super Rainbow, and many other's riding the same phsyche wave, there is little room for in-betweeners such as Skybox. Skybox is a band from Arizona that's been around since 05 and came out with their first album, Arco Iris in 06. The combination of pop music and phsychedelic sounds creates more of a happy feeling and less of a "wooaaaah trippy" vibe. And to be truly honest I'm not really into the "let's expand my soul with trippy guitar effects" scene anyways, I'll listen to my Skybox and you can sit over there and meditate to MGMT's latest crap.
