"the concept behind ‘go quiet’ was simple: it’s new year’s day in reykjavík, and jónsi awakens to a trashed house in the wake of his party. he avoids cleaning up and instead procrastinates by playing songs that reflect the night before, the bittersweetness of new year, and the melancholy of a year gone by" – director dean deblois.
"go quiet" is a calming and melodic takeaway show type film created by Jonsi (solo project of Sigur Rós frontman Jón Þór Birgisson) and includes him singing and playing his music in minimalistic fashion with various rare and beautiful instruments like the harmonium and celeste. You could jump on over to his website and buy "go quiet" with the "go" album in two forms "limited edition" that came with a plethora of extras. (sold out) And the "digital special edition" that includes immediate download of the album and film. It's not to be missed so get on it.
