Fire For Effect

Much like the exaggerated imagery and trendy notions of the witch house genre (and its proprietor Travis Egedy) Albert Redwine (ultrademon, Fire For Effect) is the second man to embrace the invention of his own silly genre: #seapunk. It's like the kindergarten dolphin-safe version of witch house with steel drums, no dark tones, and new trends to shove in other people's faces, so ditch the triangle shirts, throw away the cross necklaces, go find a shirt with a dolphin on it, dye your hair sea green/blue, and don't forget to sport a yin-yang on you somewhere. Tattoos are also given praise. But apart from the cultist fashion following the genre has actually given rise to some sweet tunes. His latest is a remix of (fellow seapunker) Unicorn Kid's Chrome Lion and I'm in love with it. Also check out a free download at his soundcloud and the first seapunk compilation via the Coral Records bandcamp.
